ABSTRACT
The article presents an update of issues and events related to the meetings planning and the hotel industry globally as of May 2006. The addition of the Paradisus Palma Real resort to the all-inclusive Punta Cana properties in the Dominican Republic is reported. The opening of the Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa on the south coast of Jamaica is also highlighted. The expansion program for the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, is described.
