The article focuses on accessible residential designs for paralyzed veterans. Home design is gaining popularity in the recent times. Accessible home projects have always involved intricate planning and design. Their construction has often been compromised because builders are unfamiliar with the necessary specialized concepts and techniques. Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), the organization which specializes in the care of people with spinal-cord injuries, has vast experience in modifying private homes to accommodate wheelchair users. PVA has kept itself updated with new technologies such as residential elevators, power-assisted doors, and ceiling-mounted lift tracks.
