ABSTRACT
The article discusses about sex-education programs in schools in Washington. During a conference, Secretary of Education William J. Bennett states that sex-education programs in the schools should involve explaining and defending moral standards in the area of sex, and offering explicit moral guidance. He argues that sex education should be viewed as something about character and the formation of character. Furthermore, Bennett proposed five principles to guide sex-education courses in schools.
