Amiodarone-Induced Thyroid Dysfunction

The article focuses on the pharmacokinetics of amiodarone and the thyroid dysfunctions that can occur as side effects of its use. The case study of a 68-year-old man who has undergone bypass graft surgery and who has atrial fibrillation, for which amiodarone was prescribed, is discussed. The clinical manifestations of amiodarone-induced thyroid disturbances are presented.
