ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the sales forecast of furniture manufacturer Hooker Furniture Corp. in Martinsville, Virginia. The company lowered its second-quarter sales forecast to flat to 2 percent lower that the 88.7 million U.S. dollars it posted in the comparable 2005 quarter. In the initial forecast the company had said it expected sales to rise 3 percent to 7 percent in the quarter.
