13 textile design students win Jackson awards

The article presents some of the awardees of the 2006 Virginia Jackson Design Awards of the International Textile Market Association Educational Foundation in High Point, North Carolina. The awards, which recognize and encourage students enrolled in textile design curriculums, are given three categories which includes jacquard, print and dobby. Winners of the jacquard categoy include Hillary Bird of Rhode Island School of Design for the 1st place, Adriane Nicolaisen of Philadelphia University for the 3rd place, and Kathryn Maresca of Rhode Island School of Design bagged the first place for the print category.
