ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the entry of John Patrick Shanley's "Doubt" to enter the Broadway scene after winning the Pulitzer Prize and the 2005 Tony Award for best play in the U.S. The drama will have played 525 performances and 24 previews at the Walter Kerr Theater, making it the fifth longest running play on Broadway in the past decade. The current cast of the play include Eileen Atkins, Ron Eldard, Jena Malone, and Adriane Lenox. Shanley's play premiered at the Manhattan Theater Club's Off Broadway space at City Center in November 2004 and played 101 performances through January 30, 2005.
