ABSTRACT
This article reports that global software products and solutions group Misys PLC has appointed Suzanne Mercer, Eversheds' IT partner, to head its legal division for banking. At the beginning of this month, Mercer was selected to the company's in-house legal team as banking general counsel. One of Mercer's duties would be to handle employment issues. Misys general counsel Dan Fitz told that Mercer's job profile also includes the delivery of customer contracts that work for both the client and Misys. According to Fitz, an increasing risk profile triggered the need for a specialist lawyer.
