ABSTRACT
The article informs that health insurers have agreed to defer billings during the government shutdown in Puerto Rico. According to Socorro Rivas, president of Triple-S Inc. and of the Insurance Company Association's health insurance committee, all insurers and related entities that provide health coverage to public employees have agreed to defer the billing of premiums. Rivas adds that billing for public employees' coverage will be deferred for the entire month of May in the year 2006. The cost of health insurance is shared by the employer and the employee.
