ABSTRACT
The article reports that Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and multiplex operator Wyner Mycal Corp. have joined a group that has been testing the 4K Pure Cinema system for digital distribution in Tokyo, Japan. The system employ a digital cinema system developed by the Digital Cinema Initiative that offers 4K quality.
