ABSTRACT
The article comments on the conditions of the media landscape in the U.S. The use of the term critic's notebook rather than column is believed to be a misnomer of sort, which leads to misconception. ABC News is being criticized for its decision to devote one of its segments for the film "Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America," which is had been poorly received.
