The article reports that Dorel Industries Inc., a manufacturer of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furnitures, experienced a decline is its earnings in the first quarter of 2006. The company attributes this decline to lower home furnishings shipments and the rising cost of particleboard. There was a substantial number of orders that came in, however, the demand was above expectations. The immediate capabilities of the three remaining RTA furniture plants of the company cannot cope up with the demand.
