The article provides information on the polyethylene and polypropylene plants of the Basell Orlen Polyolefins (BOP) joint venture company of Basell Europe Holdings BV and PKN Orlen. Tecnimont hailed the project as one of the most important investments in the polyolefins sector in the newly enlarged Europe saying that it should help arrest many years of regional stagnation in the petrochemicals industry. BOP intends to sell the output for the production of a vast range of consumer and industrial market applications.
