Linde results outstrip Air Liquide

The article reports on results posted by industrial gases firms Linde and Air Liquide showing the Germany-based Linde's growth rate in the first quarter of 2006 outstripped its larger French rival. Linde's sales reached €2.4 bn while Air Liquide recorded a higher sales figure at €2.8bn. Linde's operating profit for the period was €225m, up 36.4 percent.
