ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the green chemicals project co-financed by the French Industrial Innovation Agency. In 2005, the agency was established to invent new products. The project aims to produce a biorefinery capable of processing 1.3 million tonne per year of cereals into a range of plastics and other products. Marc Polaud, in charge of economics at the French chemicals trade group UIC, emphasized the importance of the choice of green chemicals to chemicals.
