ABSTRACT
The article presents an update on environmental issues affecting the chemical industry as of May 2006. The DuPont Shareholders for Fair Value coalition has accused DuPont of failing to end the use of per-flurooctanoic acid. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has published its 2006 Sector Strategies Performance Report detailing actions taken by 12 major sectors to reduce their impact on the environment.
