ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of DSM Engineering Plastics Asia Pacific to build a world-scale nylon 6 polyamide plant in China to provide feedstock for its engineering plastics business. The facility will be located next to the company's 30,000 to 35,000 tonne per year engineering plastics plant at Jiangyin in Jiangsu Province. Roelof Westerbeek, president of DSM, confirmed that the firm has signed a letter of intent with the Jiangyin government for the site of the plant. The company is also expected to announce a final decision on its plan to increase its Stanyl high-performance polyamide production in Geleen, Netherlands.
