ABSTRACT
The article reports on the financial performances of the retail trade businesses in U.S. for the month of April. The total retail sales perked up by 0.5 percent in April, rising to 362.7 billion dollar from 360.9 billion dollar. Further, this is boosted when highly volatile car sales, which slipped by 0.4 percent are pulled out of the equation, yielding a rise of 0.7 percent.
