This article examines the concept of financial planners being mentors to children, others' children as well as their own. The author discusses an article by columnist Eileen Gallo, who suggests ways for financial planners to help their clients' college-age children with cash management and learning to be responsible with credit cards. The author also reveals that several staff members of the Financial Planning Association have enrolled in the College for Financial Planning's Registered Paraplanner course in order to study its ten modules, review them with instructors, and take the final exam.
