ABSTRACT
The article discusses various issues related to the nickel industry. Nickel consumption is dominated by the stainless steel sector. It accounts for almost 70 percent of demand for primary nickel. Several potential nickel mining and refining projects , as well as expansions at existing facilities, will ensure continued growth in supply of primary nickel to 2010.
