ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs on issues related to California Indians as of April 2006. L. Frank, author of the book "Acorn Soup," conducted a solo exhibit at the Southwest Museum of the American Indian in Los Angeles, California. The film "Gesture Down," by Cedar Sherbert is one of the featured films in Native Forum of the Sundance Institute in Utah. Philip Hunter, senior member of the Tule River Tribal Council, passed away in December 2005.
