ABSTRACT
The article comments on the significance of information technology (IT) systems and computer software on companies. Adam Fein, president of Pembroke Consulting, said that business owners have limited idea on the impact of technology on the value of their business. In times where mergers and acquisitions are prevalent, sellers must consider whether IT systems are to be viewed as assets or liabilities. Old IT infrastructure could slow impede the growth potential of a business.
