ABSTRACT
The article presents information on several business developments related to the convenience store industry in the U.S. Woonsocket, Rhode Island-based drug store chain, CVS, has agreed to a multistate pact to introduce new policies for reducing cigarette sales to minors. Following the agreement with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, the largest retail drug store chain in store count will change the way it sells and promotes cigarettes. The Category Growth Team at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Brands, Inc. has been awarded with the 2006 Category captain Award.
