TV One Sets First Local Effort

The article focuses on the effort of TV One to venture into local advertising sales with several initiatives available to affiliates throughout the U.S. LaTanya Butler said that the local advertisement sales efforts match with some of TV One's popular fare. The network will also sponsor a sweepstakes tied to the television program "Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin." In the fourth quarter of 2006, the network will launch a contest titled "TV One All Access Pass," which will offer a viewer and a guest a chance to fly to Hollywood in California for star treatment.
