ABSTRACT
The article reports on the reaction of CBS regarding the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) levying of record fines for an episode of "Without a Trace". According to CBS, the recent "Without a Trace" ruling could establish the FCC as essentially a governmental story editor. Director Martin Scorsese also weighed in to defend his documentary, which contained profanities that the FCC decided were unnecessary.
