ABSTRACT
The article reports on the deal between MGM and Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) for the superspy James Bond video game business in the U.S. The deal with Activision Inc. was extended through 2014 with 50 million dollars worth. The publisher however, stressed that there will be no game in the absence of revenue. It also decided to limit its licensed games and focus on the original intellectual property. It can be noted that with weak expected sales in 2006, a tough EA and video game industry has been reflected.
