ABSTRACT
The article reports that the genocide in Darfur is not destroying only a people, but a way of life as well. As the Janjaweed raped and killed, they burned villages and destroyed crops and livestock. The survivors who live in refugee camps are likely to stay there, as they have no homes to return to. The coming summer is likely to lead to more deaths, as refugee food supplies are cut by the U.N. and water-borne illness spreads. International troops can put an end to the destruction.
