ABSTRACT
The article describes sound engineering strategies at James Blunt's concert in Chicago, Illinois, in March 2006. According to Front-of-house engineer Mike Hornby, he seldom uses any effects on Blunt's vocal, and he only utilizes a little compressor/limiter when he was to worry about crowd noise level. Monitor mixer Gerry Wilkes claims that Blunt and the other musicians are using wedges.
