ABSTRACT
The article reports on the impact of the increase of seating materials such as foam, fabric, packaging and transportation on seating manufacturers. Factories have estimated that increases added to the price of a sofa ranged from 10 to 50 dollar or more at the factory level. Several furniture companies have passed on hikes in the form of surcharge and price increase including Flexsteel Industries Inc.
