ABSTRACT
The article discusses developments in the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS) in the United States as of May 2006. SPARS has been making efforts to reach out to those who want to be part of the organization. This includes offering services for sick engineers and battling for standards. The association also offers medical insurance to all members. From May 12-14, 2006, SPARS, in partnership with the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, will be holding a Technology Summit for all SPARS members.
