ABSTRACT
The article discusses the relationship between teacher educators, knowledge, and the quality of physical education in schools. Teacher educators contribute to schools in many ways including acting as gatekeepers, preparing teachers, interpreting research concerning teaching, and being productive scholars, all of which affect the quality of education in American schools.
