ABSTRACT
This article discusses an example of using the alternate control treatment group research design in conducting research on teacher education. Usually, experimental research into the preservice phase of a teacher involved participants to be assigned to either of two or more experimental groups. W. R. Borg introduced a design that employs an additional control group and stated that the additional group is designed to bring changes in a set of dependent variables that are unrelated to those that the experimental groups are supposed to change.
