Effects of Interdependent Group Contingencies in a Secondary Physical Education Setting

This article studies the interdependent group contingencies in a secondary physical education setting. Several male and female students from a large metropolitan high school were studied participating in coeducational volleyball during physical education class. The participating student teacher expressed concern with the number of students who did not dress out for physical education class.
