ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Channel 4 to launch an interactive television (iTV) service for "Big Brother." Despite branding iTV technology inefficient, the channel is planning to allow viewers to press red for extended footage from the reality program. It abandoned red-button programming after deciding the technology was too inferior to play a role in its long-term future. However, the network insists that its position on iTV remains unchanged, with no red-button voting, news or gaming applications around the series.
