ABSTRACT
The article focuses on open cable application platform (OCAP) technology. The OCAP technology is designed to make specific programs look like a monolithic entity. In OCAP set-tops and applications are the facts that headend necessarily be involved. In addition, OCAP's function is to act as the mediator between the application software and the operating system.
