ABSTRACT
The article reports on developments related to the nuclear industry in the U.S. Constellation Energy Group Inc. has announced its intention to apply for combined construction and operating license (COL) to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Entergy Nuclear Inc. has announced plans to prepare an application for COL for a new nuclear energy plant. Georgia Power Co. and Southern Nuclear Operating Co. have announced their intention to pursue the Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactor technology.
