The article shares the author's thoughts regarding nuclear power in the U.S. According to the author, the discontentment on issues concerning spent fuel could be imputed to failure on the part of the government and scientific community. There is a discussion of several myths about spent fuels, including that individuals will be exposed to deadly levels of radiation if they live near a spent fuel repository.
