ABSTRACT
The article presents a tribute on the late-American Planners Association president Alan Voorhees and his illustrious career. The highlights the significant events and developments in Voorhees' career. Voorhees' firm have developed various computer programs that facilitated the multimodal testing of alternative transportation plans. Voorhees has a wide-range interests in map collection and his philanthropic efforts are quite notable. He also had a distinguished military career with the U.S. Navy.
