The article reports that Erie County, New York Comptroller Mark Poloncarz is seeking proposals from underwriters, purchasing agents, and potential purchasers in connection with a $110 million revenue anticipation note sale planned for June 2006. The majority of negotiated underwriting was handled by Bear, Stearns & Co. and the former PaineWebber Inc., now UBS Securities LLC. Poloncarz encourages both Bear Stearns and UBS to submit proposals to the county.
