The article cites that members of the Generation-X group have outpaced Boomers in luxury spending especially for the home. In 2005, luxury consumers of the Generation-X group spent 6.3 percent more in total on luxuries than their affluent Baby-Boomer counterparts. Their household incomes are also higher on average. Research about Boomers cite that they are becoming less interested in possessions and more attuned to health, experience and spirituality.
