The article expresses views on the book "Night," a memoir of the Jewish Holocaust, by Elie Wiesel, selected as book-club feature on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" in May 2006. There are issues arising from the character of the book's narration. The book provides a window onto the experience of the victims. The author recalls the execution of a young boy by Nazis.
