The article presents information on buying plans and consumer spending for area rugs in the U.S. Generations Y and X are excellent rug prospects. Other demographic groups that planned to buy an area rug at rates in the population include African-American families with children and renters. High-income households planned to spend a median of their income on area rug purchase.
