The article reports on the changes in the name of Technical Vocational Institute into Central New Mexico Community College beginning June 3, 2006. In a special meeting, the school's board members have voted 4 to 3 to abandon the school's 40-year-old name. Central New Mexico Community College is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. According to Michael Glennon, the school president, the new name of the school more correctly denotes its function.
