ABSTRACT
The article reports on a survey on hospital construction and renovation in the U.S., conducted on behalf of Health Facilities Management, Hospitals & Health Networks and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. It reveals that 81 percent of new construction and renovation incorporates wireless technologies into patient room design. New rooms are designed to increase patient satisfaction, foster a healing environment and streamline workflow.
