ABSTRACT
The article reports that the French company Thomson and Dutch company Philips Research have each developed Digital Cinema Initiative-compliant systems that limit piracy. The NexGuard system of Thomson and the CineFence and CompoTrack systems of Philips use watermarking technology to prevent copying during post-production and in the theater.
