ABSTRACT
The article reports that Carlos Slim Domit, son of Mexican telecommunications tycoon Carlos Slim Helu, has acquired 2.8 percent of the American Spanish-language broadcaster Univision. It is speculated that Domit could team up with Mexican television company Televisa, in which he is a board member, to bid for Univision. Televisa owns 11 percent of Univision. Slim Helu also owns 24.4 percent of Televisa.
