The article focuses on laser job shop Iowa Laser Technology Inc.'s success through the use of automation, technology investment, training and CAD/CAM nesting software. The company purchased its first fully automated TRUMPF laser featuring a non-contact head and a Windows-based control. SigmaNEst software is the most advanced profile cutting optimization system because of its ability to offer a complete cutting solution from work order management to tight nesting and NC code generation.
