ABSTRACT
The article reports that Encyclopaedia Britannica Inc. in Chicago, Illinois has continued to focus on improving its status in the reference book market while selling a small number of trade titles. The company's Web site sales has accounted for about 6 percent of the company's total sales. The company's senior vice-president Michael Ross stated that 65 percent of sales are in the education and library segments.
