The article reports on the plans of Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch to request the state Supreme Court to repeal a district court ruling and restore the tobacco products fee. Last December 2005, Judge Michael Fetsch of the Ramsey County Circuit Court dropped the health impact fee because it violated the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement. Hatch is expecting to generate new revenue from tobacco companies during the two-year budget cycle.
