This article reports that as multi-service operators are integrating more services with IP technologies, the risk of operational cracks is also increasing. These operators need to capture data for securing their IP transactions. Primal Solutions tries to solve the problem with a system that captures and accounts for IP transactions. With the help of third-party partners, Primal claims to capture data for 40 percent of all residential VoIP traffic. CableLabs is also planning to use such systems with its VoIP peering project.
